An ancient Indian ceremony, Hopi ear candling treatments consist of burning a candle in each ear (as per picture below) plus a gentle face, neck and head massage. 

The whole treatment is deeply relaxing and has numerous health benefits described below. 

The burning of the candle creates a light suction effect and the gentle vibration of air in the candle has a massaging effect on the eardrum.  This can help balance pressure in the ear, forehead and sinuses.

The warmth and scent of the candle as it burns is a soothing and relaxing sensation that  can also help relieve headaches, ear noises, stress and have an overall calming effect.
